In our last session, Inés Fdez Linsenbarth, predoctoral researcher at SUCEDE, briefly explains what her research project on brain magnetic stimulation (BMS) consists of. She summarizes it as follows:
One of the most important SUCEDE’s research findings is that schizophrenia and bipolar disorder patients present deficits of entropy modulation of electroencephalography. This finding gave rise to our project aimed to assess the inhibitory transmission by means of transcranial magnetic stimulation in schizophrenia patients. Our goal is to test if the deficits of entropy modulation in an oddball task are associated with inhibitory alterations in these patients. In today’s session we reviewed the current status of the project.
